Est. 2020

For years I've been running the exact same loop in the Shaughnessy neighbourhood and always pass by Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Each time I stop and say a little prayer for the souls inside that elegant home.

On one particular run in the Fall of 2020, just after the world flipped on its head, I stood there again but this time as a Mom to a little baby girl. Now as a parent of two,
I couldn’t fathom having to go through the journey that many of the families of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice are faced with. I stood there looking at the Hospice that day in 2020 and thought, “Hey, I should put my love for photography to good use, I have an idea!"

I said my usual prayer to the kiddos and families in the building and ran as fast as I could home to call the team at Canuck Place. It was then that  #CanuckPlaceFrontStepsProject was born.

Over the past four years, with the generous help from all the families that have booked a photography session with me during this project, my fundraising efforts have raised $17,802 towards the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and I've since become one of their onsite volunteer photographers.

This will be my fifth year driving this campaign and I can’t wait to see what families will join me in front of my lens to continue this fundraising effort!

Happy holidays everyone! I look forward to seeing you soon.
